What that changes here
On a Brussels roof slope a water repellent adds little: the slopes are small, often in natural slate, and the real leak is in the box gutter. We advise against it here most of the time, and we say so. On the concrete tiles of the post-war districts in Evere or Anderlecht the conversation is different — there it is justified.
Evere was built mainly after the war: housing estates from the 1950s and 1960s, social housing and apartment blocks with large flat roofs. The building stock is younger than elsewhere in Brussels, but the first generation of bitumen felt laid on those flat roofs is now reaching the end of its life.

The coloured product evens out a covering whose colours have drifted after successive repairs. It does not rescue a covering at the end of its life — it disguises it, and we will tell you so.
