Northern periphery

Our depot is on Vilvoordsesteenweg in Grimbergen. It is the area where we work most often, and where an emergency call gets the fastest response.

The northern periphery is the Belgian suburb par excellence: housing estates from the 1960s to the 1980s, detached and semi-detached houses, concrete tiles that are now reaching their first real renewal all at once.

Behind almost every one of these houses there is a single-storey extension with a flat roof — kitchen, garage, conservatory — often still in 1980s bitumen felt. In sheer numbers it is the job we carry out most often here.

Vilvoorde is the exception: a dense old core, with terraced houses and concealed box gutters, where the work looks more like Brussels. And around Zaventem airport many roofs have had acoustic work done over the years that was not always carefully carried out.

Complete renewal
1970s concrete tiles at the end of their life: stripping, roof structure checked, new roofing underlay and insulation in one go.
Extension flat roofs
EPDM in a single piece, upstands mechanically clamped, and insulation at the same time — the roof is open anyway.
Damp after insulation
Crushed air gap, missing vapour barrier: we put the ventilation right first, the insulation after.
