Facade renovation & cleaning

A facade treatment carried out properly lasts fifteen to twenty years. West and south-west gables, which take the driving rain, age noticeably faster: it is common to redo them on their own between two full campaigns.

If the masonry is sound and the brick good-looking, repointing followed by a water repellent is still the best choice: you keep the character of the facade. If the substrate is mixed, cracked or badly repaired, a render rebuilds a single surface. The diagnosis decides, not the starting budget.

Cleaning and repointing are generally done without a permit. As soon as the colour or the appearance changes, a permit is often required in Flanders as in Brussels. We tell you which case you are in before the quotation.
